Andrew DeLapo

Mathematics PhD Student, University of Connecticut

I am interested in mathematical logic and especially computability theory. I entered the Mathematics PhD program at UConn in Fall 2021, and now I am in my fifth and final year of the program.

I am currently on the academic job market and am seeking positions to begin in Fall 2026. Here is my CV, and my research and teaching statements are available upon request.

I currently organize the math department's SIGMA Seminar, which features talks at the first- and second-year graduate student level. I previously served as President of UConn's American Mathematical Society Graduate Student Chapter.

My current research is in computability theory, reverse mathematics, and effective topology. I have also studied algorithmic randomness. My PhD advisors are Professors Damir Dzhafarov and Reed Solomon.

During the Fall 2025 semester, I am instructor for Math 1060Q: Precalculus. I have previously worked as an instructor for Multivariable Calculus and Business Calculus, and as a Teaching Assistant for Calculus I, II, and Multivariable Calculus.
